‘반 산숙’은 태국에서 가장 인기있는 해변인 후하힌에 위치하고 있는 특권층의 주거 단지다. 대상지는 마치 국수가락처럼 길게 이어져 있으며, 해변으로 연결된 작고 폭이 좁은 측면부를 가지고  있다. 대상지 중앙은 길게 공간을 남겨놓은 채 좌우로 빌딩들이 두 줄로 이어져 있다. 해변 앞을 제외한 대부분의 구역은 바다를 전망할 수 없게 돼있다. 대신 반대 구역과 마주보고 있다.

우리의 첫 번째 조치는 건물에서 바다 경치를 볼 수 있게 하는 것이었다. 이런 전망을 만들어야 겠다는 생각은 대상지가 위치한 지역에서 부터 기인됐다. 태국말로 ‘후하힌’은 ‘돌의 머리’를 뜻하는데, 그 이름은 ‘자연에 의해 씻겨진 강가의 돌 바위’에서 유래됐다. 그래서 우리는 입구에서 해안까지 이어지는 총 230미터의 풀(pool)을 제안했다.

수영장은 반사 풀, 유아용 풀, 과도기 풀, 자쿠지 풀(기포가 생기는 풀), 중심 풀과 같이 서로 다른 기능을 가진 여러 개의 풀로 구분된다. 어떤 구역은 아주 유명한 지역의 해안가를 모사해 전략적으로 자연석을 배치했다. 그 결과 대상지의 끝에서 끝까지 전구간에 서로 다른 특성을 가진 수경 공간들이 숨이 멎을 정도로 멋지게 연출됐다. 이 풀들은 단지 시각적 즐거움만을 위한 것이 아니라 가족 구성원 모두가 이용할 수 있는 수영장의 기능을 한다.

Baan Sansuk is an exclusive Residential Project, located at HuaHin, Thailand's favorite Beach. The site is a long, noodle-like with a small narrow side connected to the beach. There are 2 rows of Buildings on both sides, leaving a long space in the middle of the site. Basically, most of the units, except the Beach-front ones, do not have any Ocean View. Instead they are facing the opposite units.
Our first move is to bring “the view” into the property instead. Our Inspiration of “the View” comes from the location of the project. Hua Hin, in Thai, means Stone Head. The name comes from the natural stone boulders in its Beach area. So we proposed a series of  Swimming Pools from the Lobby to the beach area, a total of 230m long.
The Pools are divided into several pools, with different functions like Reflecting Pool, Kids Pool, Transitional Pool, Jacuzzi Pool and Main Pool. At some certain area, we strategically place Natural Stone Boulders to mimic the Famed Local Beach. The result is a breath-taking Water Landscape, with different Water Characters from one end of the site to the other. These pools are not just for eye-pleasure only, but they also serve as the pools for everyone in the family.
